Our Mission

To provide stewardship for the University's financial assets while providing the highest level of service and support to faculty, staff, students and departments in order to assist the University in pursuing its stated purpose and goals.

Towards this end we must provide quality, timely and meaningful financial information to University administrators to allow informed decision making in the pursuit of overall institutional goals. We must ensure sound and efficient financial practices and services to the University community and must service our customers in an ethical, professional and courteous manner.

We must be sensitive and responsive to the needs of our customers, University students, administrators, faculty, staff and other agencies. We are committed to innovation, change and self-evaluation in order to meet these needs.

Our Responsibilities

• To collect monies owed to the University
• To pay monies owed by the University
• To record and report the movement of monies through the University's accounts
• To administer certain contracts made between the University and external entities
• Co-ordination and preparation of the annual campus budget
• Budget monitoring and financial reporting on the campus operating budget
• Track material University assets
• Ensure compliance with Government and University rules and regulations and US tax compliance
• Prepare official institutional financial and other regulatory reports and statements
• Conduct financial studies and analysis and prepare executive and departmental management information
• Develop and distribute financial policies and procedures to guide the day to day financial activities of the University
