IT Mission Statement

• To explore and implement appropriate uses of technology to support programs of instruction, research, and other activities.

• To provide secure local & remote access to university programs and services.

• To provide centralized administrative functions, including student information, human resource, and financial systems (e.g., Banner).

Note: Once a program or service has been identified, we strive for reliable, state of the art implementation providing the highest quality, most robust, and responsive service possible. Our strategy for adopting new technologies is typically near follower. In other words, migrating early in the life cycle, but after proven viable by others. We strive to monitor emerging technologies and to effectively evaluate opportunities to improve current university operations, adopting new hardware, software, and systems when appropriate.
