MIS
division provides computer application support of institutional
systems for academic and administrative departments.
Specific
services include:
1-The
acquisition, development and maintenance of institutional
applications used to carry out daily University business.
2-Support
of client access to institutional data.

Administration and support of all database management
systems and University applications.
4-Support
for Institutional Research Database Warehousing related
to student enrollment.
5-Consultation
to campus departments for specialized software acquisition,
along with the design, development, maintenance and
implementation of the AUS Web site(s) & online surveys.
6-Administration
and integration of the main Internet application servers
and services.
7-Technical
support for Banner 2000, the major application system
implemented at AUS, this includes: Human Resources,
Student Information System and Financial system.
Making
information available to faculty, students and staff
online including:
o
Student demographic information
o Class lists
o Academic status
o Grades
o Budget
o Personnel job data
o Purchasing
Administrators
can access information related to their department,
and student enrollment information for the University
with ad hoc reporting tools.
Services
available via the web include: registration, grades,
undergraduate admission application, available courses,
class schedules, and name/address update.
