How do I avail of the health services at UHC?
In case of illness, visit the UHC, register your name and ID number at the reception, take a number and wait to see the nurse/doctor.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Appointments are necessary for certain services like women’s health concerns, prescriptions, diet & psychotherapy counseling. If you have an appointment and cannot make it, you must call and cancel the appointment.
Can an employee avail medical services at UHC while on the Self-directed employee benefits Plan?
If an employee is covered under the AUS Group medical Insurance for employees, medical services rendered by UHC will not be charged.
If an employee has his own insurance, medical services will be charged via payroll account as per the price list displayed at the clinic Reception and shown in the SERVICES section: http://www.aus.edu/admin/uhc/services.php
Can I get medications?
Basic emergency medication is provided free of charge. However, most medication is available at the pharmacy on campus which is included in the insurance network.
What to do when the clinic is closed/ who do I call in an emergency?
Please call the emergency hotline: 050-6357651 and the staff on duty will assist you. The emergency hotline should be called in case of life-threatening emergencies only.
Can I call the ambulance in case of real medical emergency?
Yes, if it is possible to save life and time in case of life-threatening emergencies only.
