STUDENTS HEALTH INSURANCE

Everyone needs health insurance, including students. Good health is essential to your academic success, and adequate insurance makes sure you get the care you need to maintain your good health. The University Health Center (UHC) at AUS is pleased to offer students health insurance Plans as follows:

You can choose from two coverage levels – Plan I & Plan II

Plan I and Plan II are both available at initial enrollment for semesters and the coverage will continue until you have left/graduated from the university. However, premiums will be collected semester-wise.

Each time you need care or treatment, visit the UHC. The deductible will not apply when a student is seen at the UHC.

If you live off-campus, in case of medical emergencies after working hours and on holidays, visit the nearest clinic/hospital in the network of providers or call the Insurance hotline :

050-4623237.  During normal working hours, you may contact clinic staff on 06-5152699 or 06-5152675 for a referral letter to visit the hospital.

Apply for coverage now.

  • Rates for the two plans can be found in the "Tuition and Expense" section of the Registration Guides for the semesters, at the Registration webpage: http://www.ausharjah.edu/registration/semesters.php
  • Details on the options and other additional information can be found at Health Insurance Plans for Students.

Please note that purchase of this insurance is a contract for the time period designated, e.g., 1st June 2006 to 31st May 2007, even when you make semester-wise payments. There are NO REFUNDS

Graduate students living in dorms can opt for Plan1 insurance.  However, premium charges are to be paid in advance for the full year or for the duration of the course.

Changing Insurance Plans

Requests for change in Insurance Plans will be accepted during the registration periods for the semesters.  Requests received after the registration period will not be processed.
