On Campus Recruiting

Employment Opportunities

We can promote your vacancies/internships whether they are for permanent, temporary, part-time or for summer opportunities. Let us know your needs, and we will endeavor to meet them.
Our Vacancy Service advertises your vacancies on CAPS notice board and at strategic locations throughout the Campus. The student newspaper, The Leopard, is also used to post vacancies. We will contact graduates directly, informing them of suitable vacancies as they are received. Resumes and cover letters of every individual who has registered with us are kept in the Department database.
Submit your Vacancy Announcement form based on the candidates criteria requested.

On Campus Interviews

We can arrange for you to interview students and graduates who are seeking employment or internships opportunities.

Career Fair

A Career Fair will be held every Spring Semester at the AUS Sports Complex. You will be invited to take a booth, which will enable you to meet students from the Schools of Business & Management, Architecture & Design and the Colleges of Engineering and Arts & Sciences.

Open Days

Those events will be arranged per school where you will be representing your company profile, displaying your projects and networking with the students and faculty members. You will be encouraging the students to pursue their education while having a clear picture of what is expected from them upon graduation.

Company Presentations

CAPS offers you the opportunity to do a company presentation to students and graduates to provide an idea about your company and discuss the employment opportunities that you have.

Internships

Our students are encouraged to spend part of one summer practicing their skills. An internship is a work experience, usually in the summer, related to a student's major or area of interest. In most cases, a student will complete only one summer with a given employer.

Internships help bridge the gap between industry and education and enables employers to evaluate students' potential as future employees. Engineering students especially are required to complete an internship in a related field as a prerequisite for graduation.

Partnership with AUS

We look towards developing close working relationships with all our contacts in industry. CAPS provides opportunities for promoting organizations to interview students and graduates, to take part in Career Fairs, and to advertise their vacancies. CAPS also encourages companies to take part in CAPS events held during the academic year.

CAPS Resource Library Contribution

Even though you will have a website listing, we keep comprehensive files of companies and industries in the Emirates in our Career Resource Library. If you would like to send us details of your company, or to update our existing file, please forward them to us as soon as possible.

AUS Updates

The American University of Sharjah has its own monthly journal, "The AUS News", which is distributed solely to AUS business affiliates across the Emirates and abroad. It offers details and updates on AUS academic programs, latest developments, and activities.
