If you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the U.A.E. you should consult the embassy of the UAE in your country to inquire whether you need to have a visa or not. For some countries, a visa can be obtained at the airport upon arrival. Though getting a visa is the participant’s responsibility, we will be glad to provide you with documents such as an invitation letter or any other assistance you may need in this regard. For the latest news on this you are advised to consult the webpage of the U.A.E. government http://www.government.ae/gov/en/visitors/uae/visas.jsp
REMARK :
A transit visa may be arranged by the American University of Sharjah as per author’s request. The visa is valid for 14 days from day of entry and is issued only two weeks before the conference. The following information and documents must be sent to the conference secretary at icmsao@aus.edu as soon as possible (no later than November 15th):
- Name of author requesting the visa (same as in passport)
- The Paper title and ID
- A softcopy of author passport
- A recent Photo (scanned)
- Fees of $95 (or AED 350) that can be paid with the registration fees
The organizing committee will try to issue the visa for all authors who request it but it can not guarantee the visa since the decision is from the immigration authorities.
