At AUS, we constantly strive to improve our campus environment.

One of the great things about AUS is our desire to improve. We try our best to ensure that members of our community are good stewards of our natural resources. The Office of Sustainability is always developing policies and practices to preserve our environment and create a more sustainable future.

A team of administrators, faculty, students and technical experts have been working to implement immediate steps to reduce our dependency on electricity and water. As a result, AUS has embarked on significant efforts and actions have and will continue to be taken to reach a goal of reducing energy use on the academic campus by 30 percent by 2013.

We also focus on initiatives to increase community awareness and to encourage behavioral change among members of our community to fully and actively embrace the principles and the practices of sustainability.
