
CAS honors outstanding graduates
To recognize the excellence and achievements of its students, the Department of Language and Literature, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), organized a reception for graduating students in three of its programs. The reception was held on May 8 in the Main Building. Plaques were presented to students with the highest GPA.
Mr. Jason Ward, Instructor of English, received a plaque for his outstanding achievements as the first graduate of the MA TESOL program. Also honored were graduates of the MA in Translation and Interpreting program Yara Mourad (plaque), Doha Al-Hamad and Lina Al- Baqara.
Four students graduating in English Language and Literature (Literature Concentration) were also honored at the event. These were: Abeer Raouf Fahim (plaque), Ella Frederica Van Wyk, Nausheen Jahan A. K. M. Shafiq and Marwa Moaz Abu Al-Soud.
