Student paper recognized in international competition

Haitham Kaddoura and Faisal Linjawi, under the supervision of Dr. Jalal Kawash of the Department of Computer Science, won second place in the Lance Stafford LarsonStudent Scholarship Best Student Paper Competition organized by the Computer Society of the prestigious Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in the United States.

The Larson Scholarship recognizes and honors the best computer-related papers. Designed to encourage communication skills among future computer science professionals, the scholarship awards papers with outstanding technical content, demonstrated writing talent and exceptional overall presentation.
