CAPS holds graduate studies seminar Leading experts from the field of graduate studies participated in a special day-long seminar organized by the Career Advising and Placement Services (CAPS) on campus September 28. The event was designed to help students who wish to pursue their graduate studies at AUS or at universities in the Unites States and Canada. The seminar began with a welcome address by Dr. John Mosbo, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs. Dr. Judith Killen, AUS Director of Graduate Studies and Research, then spoke about the many graduate programs on offer at AUS. Mr. Peter Neisuler, Public Affairs Officer from the US Consulate in Dubai, spoke on graduate studies in the US, and Ms. Valerie Chittenden, Vice Consul (Visa Officer from the US Consulate in Dubai, presented the lecture “Secure Borders, Open Doors.” Ms. Simone Jucker, Trade Commissioner (Education and Training) of the Embassy of Canada, spoke on the quality of Canadian graduate education.
