The American University of Sharjah (AUS) Achievement Academy Outreach Program is providing Business English courses to employees of the Ajman Culture and Media Department during the Fall 2011 semester. These courses aim to improve the overall English proficiency skills of the department employees.

Based on the results of a placement test, 11 employees were placed in the pre-intermediate level and 11 in the intermediate level. As scheduled, the course began on December 11, 2011.

"We are extremely pleased to work in partnership with the Ajman Culture and Media Department to provide Business English courses," said Dr. Tom Alibrandi, Director of the Achievement Academy. "AUS, in its endeavor to bring our world-class course offerings to the community, is dedicated to being of service to school, agencies, and businesses that seek educational enhancement and professional development for their employees, customers, and stakeholders."

Jawaher Salem Al Matrooshi, head of the Ajman Culture and Media Department, stated, "Such training is vital to institutional development and ensures overall improvement in Business English proficiency skills within the government sector. We are pleased to be associated with AUS and look forward to our employees benefitting from these English courses."

This partnership is just another example of the Achievement Academy Outreach Program's commitment in reaching out to the community and sets a successful benchmark for future collaborations with government sectors in the UAE.
