AUS is one of the founding and active members of the Higher Education Sports Federation along with major Universities and Colleges all over the U.A.E. AUS varsity teams represent the University in various sports activities nationally and regionally exposing team members to enjoyable and memorable experiences and challenges vital for their development as responsible and effective individuals. An enrolled student with a GPA of 2.0 or higher can become a member of any AUS varsity team through tryouts held at the beginning of each semester. Selected players will undergo training programs and AUS will sponsor each member’s gear and equipment, travel and event expenses for activities organized by AUS.

Team members should adhere to the AUS Sports Team Policy, which will be handed to them upon their selection. An end of the academic year gathering is annually organized to distribute souvenirs to all team members as an appreciation for their dedication and efforts in representing AUS.
Intramural events are held all year round for both men and women. Students can participate by simply registering their names with the concerned Coordinator or at the Sports Complex reception for any event t hat will take place. Intramural events are advertised all over the University through posters and through the Sports Calendar brochure available at the Sports Complex.
