Advising for Students on Probation

Home  >  Academics  >  Services and Resources  >  Academic Support Center  >  Advising for Students on Probation

Are you on academic probation? You must meet with your ASC advisor.

All students on academic probation should be proactive about improving their academic performance and regularly meeting with their ASC advisor. Probation students are also required to submit a completed probation contract. ASC advisors help facilitate students on probation in clarifying educational goals, developing study skills and educational plans, and connecting students to appropriate resources.

Students have the opportunity to utilize the wide range of resources available at ASC in addition to AUS services to help them achieve their academic goals. ASC offers the LASSI, an international assessment of study skills. ASC advisors are committed to student success and strive to help students achieve their educational goals.

Students should be aware that they are required to meet probation obligations as outlined in their probation contract and failure to meet those obligations carries serious consequences. Please see the Probation Survival Guide for details.

Students on probation who get academically dismissed can consult their ASC advisor regarding reinstatement policies.
