The Casting Lab is designed to accommodate different mold making and plaster/cement casting activities. It consists of two casting tables, set in the middle of the lab to allow for adequate circulation and casting in the allotted zone only.
Separate storage spaces have been provided for plaster/gypsum and cement bags, in addition to a water hose attached to the faucet to facilitate making the casting process clean.
Specialty tools like concrete mixers need to be checked out by CAAD Lab staff.
Card access is granted to all currently enrolled CAAD students once they’re successfully completed an orientation in the lab.
Please contact our Material Fabrication Labs Specialist to schedule training sessions and for additional information.
