In our highly competitive Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication program, we introduce you to a ‘culture of making’ through our specialized classes in design topics, such as typography, illustration, printmaking, photography and publication design for print and digital media.
Your freshman experience will begin with a one-year Foundations Program, which all CAAD students must complete before advancing into their major field of study. Providing an essential and highly beneficial transition from high-school to a college experience, you will be introduced to conceptual and critical thinking skills, and learn how to apply the specific terminology we use within creative disciplines . You will also gain a basic understanding of design principles, while nurturing positive and productive working habits and self-discipline.
As a CAAD student, you will benefit from a highly interactive approach to learning as our outstanding faculty work alongside you to give you a practical knowledge of illustration, photography, printmaking, image making, time-based media, web design and typography, along with the opportunity to choose to concentrate on one or more of these areas as part of your studies.
