Rawan Mahmood

Graduating from AUS is one of the major early milestones of my life. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Design Management in Spring 2012.This major gave me the ability to develop management and marketing skills and knowledge for leadership within team-oriented design disciplines. Design management as a major introduced me to the concept of user experience. This discipline focuses on every aspect of the user's interaction with a product, service or company. Furthermore, the selection of degree requirements offered a solid foundation in management, marketing and other business courses that contributed to a better insight in my career.

Right after graduation and for the last four years I’ve been working in the e-commerce department of one of the Middle East’s fastest growing airlines. My career started with managing the website content in different languages and now it’s evolving to user experience and content strategy. The ultimate goal is to understand how design works based on knowledge and research of the audience and their needs.

CAAD is an excellent place to receive an education and practice your skills and knowledge in order to be ready for your career. As a proud CAAD graduate, I can say that graduation is not an end goal in itself; it is, instead, part of the larger journey of life. My passion for web design, user experience and research will always continue as there is a lot more to learn out there.
