Frederic Gmeiner is a designer whose multidisciplinary work and research practice explores the creative potential of technology to transcend the borders between physical and digital environments. He taught interface design at the Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany, and is the co-founder and creative director of the design company FELD studio for digital crafts. With a self-taught background in computer science and music, he specializes in the design and development of interactive media technology within spatial and narrative contexts. His areas of research and teaching interest are digital design strategies, spatial experience and interaction design, as well as data visualization.
