Joel Miller

Visiting Assistant Professor
PhD, UCLA,

Trained in both the Social Sciences (PhD from UCLA) and Architecture (MArch from SCI-Arc), my professional concern is to impart a broader view of society through concentrated study of the places we inherit and inhabit, with critical consideration of how we interact with and within our built environment. I bring to AUS my experience in research and teaching that intertwines the worlds’ regions, peoples, cultures, and material environments. My research work has been funded by such awards as a Fulbright Fellowship, Asian Cultural Council grant, an IASTE prize for scholarship, as well as multiple UCLA and US government-funded awards.
