I originally enrolled at AUS as a biology major, however I quickly realized that it was not for me. Since I’ve always loved math, numbers and problem solving, I decided that switching to finance was the best option. Since joining the School of Business and Management (SBM), I have met some amazing people and taken classes with some really great and inspiring professors. I have already learned a lot about the basic principles of various business aspects such as economics and accounting, both of which I had absolutely no idea about. I am very happy with my decision to join SBM, and I am looking forward to all of my classes and the new things I will get to learn.

Being a student at the School of Business and Management at AUS was a very unique experience. The vast opportunities presented to the students in terms of both education and practical experiences were overwhelming. From classroom lectures to involvement with local businesses to study tours abroad, I gained hands-on experience in the world of business. Most importantly, I was exposed to cultural diversity every day on campus and was taught how to embrace our differences and transform them into strengths for use in business.

Upon graduation, I joined Standard Chartered Bank’s highly selective International Graduate Program in Dubai, after which I was sent to Singapore to work on an assignment with senior management. After my assignment in Singapore, I was selected to join the Corporate Finance team in London to work on structured trade finance transactions.
