Procedures for Applying

Early Admission

If you are in your final year of secondary school, you are encouraged to apply for early admission by submitting official grade reports from at least the last two years previous to the final year of secondary school and SAT scores (as applicable). Because seats are usually limited, it is especially important for applicants to the College of Engineering and the College of Architecture, Art and Design to apply early to reserve a seat. Moreover, applicants with the highest grades who have the required TOEFL score or IELTS (and SAT scores as applicable) will be given priority in admission consideration.

Early admission is only offered to highly qualified applicants and is not considered final until students submit the following before being allowed to register for classes:

  • They are transferring from a recognized and accredited institution of higher education offering learning experiences equivalent to those offered at AUS and have successfully completed one or more semesters in that institution. Moreover, the College of Engineering will not award transfer credit for engineering or computer science courses completed at academic programs not recognized by ABET, Business administration courses will be considered for transfer only from programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) or from universities approved by the School of Business Administration.
