Our Office of Research and Graduate Studies is responsible for overseeing the university's existing graduate programs and takes an active role in developing new programs.
We develop and administer policies concerning graduate studies, including thesis and project guidelines, student petitions and graduate curricula. Our office also reviews proposals for existing and new graduate programs for accreditation and reaccreditation, managing and processing Graduate Research Assistantships, Graduate Teaching Assistantships and graduate student employment.
The Director of Graduate Studies chairs the Graduate Programs Committee (GPC) which is comprised of seven members. The GPC has one representative from each college/school, Registrar's Office, Library and Office of Enrollment Management.
