Dr. M Sajid Khan is currently an Associate Professor of Marketing at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and Chalhoub Group Professor of Luxury Brand Management. In addition to his teaching at both undergraduate and graduate programs, Dr. Khan has taught a number of focused executive education offerings in the UK and UAE and has received several recognitions for executive and MBA teaching. He has consulted with the DP World, Sharjah Asset Management, Road and Transportation Authority, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Authority, Sharjah Tatweer Forum among others. Dr. Khan has been a Visiting Fellow at Manchester Business School, and Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, England. His recent research interests lie in the drivers of customer satisfaction, loyalty behavior, customer defection, and business-to-business relationships has appeared in international business journals such as Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Marketing Intelligence & Planning, Sustainability, Advances in Consumer Research, International Journal of Public Administration, Journal of Consumer Satisfaction, Dissatisfaction and Complaining Behavior among others. He is currently the head of the marketing and information systems department at AUS.

Prior to joining AUS, Norita Ahmad was a lecturer at Pennsylvania State University, USA. Her research interests include decision making, social networks and knowledge management. Her professional experience includes database developer at Carrier Corporation, Syracuse, New York; system engineer at Motorola, Malaysia; IS analyst at BHL Bank, Malaysia; and various consulting work with companies such as Boeing, Tyco Electronics and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in the USA.

Dr. Nicholas Ashill

Nicholas J. Ashill taught at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand prior to joining AUS. He has contributed to such journals as the Journal of Retailing, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, European Journal of Marketing, Decision Sciences, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Strategic Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Management. He has been the recipient of numerous teaching and research excellence awards including a National Teaching Excellence Award for Sustained Excellence in Teaching in 2002 and a Research Excellence Award in 2005. He is also the current Associate Editor of the European Journal of Marketing.

Dr. Jeffrey Baker

Jeff Baker's primary research interest is IT investment and strategy, with an emphasis on IT business value, strategic alignment, and strategies in electronic commerce. His research has appeared in the Journal of the AIS, Communications of the AIS, and in the proceedings of the International Conference on Information Systems. Before beginning work on his PhD, Dr. Baker conducted a software licensing audit for a regional affiliate of Sprint PCS, a major US telecommunications firm, to ensure their compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. He holds the CAPM certification (Certified Associate in Project Management) from the Project Management Institute.

She is an Academic Fellow at the Institute of Asian Consumer Insight, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. Her research has appeared in leading journals such as Journal of Service Research, Journal of Business Research, Marketing Letters and Industrial Marketing Management. She also serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Service Theory and Practice. Prior to the academic career, Dr. Banerjee had a corporate career in professional services including design, international business and strategic marketing research.

From his AUS beginning in 2002, Jean Boisvert has accumulated 14 years of teaching experience at the university level. Before joining AUS, he taught in marketing departments at institutions such as École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montreal, Canada; École Supérieure International de Gestion in Morocco; Academy of Economic Studies in Romania; and Bond and Wollongong universities in Australia. His areas of research and teaching interest are retail marketing, branding and luxury brands. He has published in prestigious international journals such as the Journal of Service Research, Managing Service Quality Journal, the Journal of Services Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Marketing, and International Journal of Market Research. He is also reviewer for several top international academic journals and conferences.

Prakash Chathoth has over 20 years of combined academic and industry experience, of which 15 years have been dedicated to academia in Australia, Asia, the United States and Europe. He has published in top-tiered journals on topics related to strategic and services management/marketing in the tourism/hospitality context and is among the leading researchers in his field for such contributions over the past decade. His research interests also include organizational trust and assimilation from a services perspective. Dr. Chathoth serves on the editorial board of six business/services/tourism journals and is an active consultant.

Kichan Nam has taught at Sogang University in Korea. His major research topics are IT outsourcing, e-business, IT service management, e-government and smart tourism. His publications are found in major international journals such as MIS Quarterly, ISR, JMIS, CACM, and DSS and major IS journals in Korea with a total citation number larger than 1500 in Google Scholar. He was a Chairman of itSMF Korea, Chairman of the Korean IT Outsourcing Forum, and vice president of the Korean Society of MIS. He was a recipient of Brain Korea 21 award and was a project leader in Korea for the World Class University Project .

Dr. Nash Milic moved to UAE from Texas, USA where he completed his doctoral degree in Information Systems at Baylor University in less than 4 years. Nash has several ICIS, AMCIS and NeuroIS publications accompanied by one Information Systems and e-Business Management publication.

Nash had also served on two ICIS committees as a Local Review Coordinator and fulfilled multiple review services for AIS journals and conferences. His efforts towards the IS community were recognized by the AIS in a form of a Doctoral Student Service award. Before joining the academia, Nash had diverse professional experiences ranging from consulting to project management and NGOs.

In his spare time, Nash likes to hike and explore digital photography, horology, LEGOs, cars and 3D printers.

Prior to joining AUS, Rania Semaan taught a variety of undergraduate courses at Baruch College–CUNY, New York, USA. Her current research interest is in various consumer behavior topics such as persuasion knowledge and attitudes, affect and goal behavior, cross-cultural consumer research and behavioral decision theory. Her work has been featured in several publications, conference proceedings and conference presentations. She also acts as reviewer for a number of academic journals and conferences.

Humberto “Bert” Valencia worked at Thunderbird School of Global Management between 1987 and 2014. He served as Associate Professor of Marketing (Emeritus) and as Vice-President for Working Professional Programs. Thunderbird has been consistently one of the top-ranked international business schools for seven decades. Dr. Valencia is an expert in global marketing strategy, graduate business education, distance learning programs, and the USA Hispanic market. He has authored more than 25 scholarly articles published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Advertising Research, and the Journal of Advertising, among other titles.

Xiaobo Xu has taught fundamentals of MIS, systems analysis and design, and operations management at the University of Mississippi and AUS. Prior to his PhD program, he worked for two years as project manager and department manager in the first listed company in China. He currently conducts research in the areas of IS project success, virtual teams and virtual worlds, e-commerce adoption and success, supply chain management, and social networks. His research papers have been published in refereed journals such as PMJ, DATABASE, IT&M, IJITDM and EIS among others.

His current research interest is in the areas of services marketing, family firm management, and innovation & entrepreneurship. ‚Äč Volkan Yeniaras is the 2016 recipient of the bi-annual best author award granted by the Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies.

Steven Formaneck has taught in business schools for more than eight years at institutions such as the American University in Cairo, American University in Dubai, Konkuk University (South Korea), and University of Waterloo. His areas of research and teaching interests include operations and supply chain management, technology management, optimization methods and teaching innovation.
