Lecture by Dr. Firas Hindeleh
On behalf of Mathematics and Statistics Department under the College of Arts and Sciences, you are cordially invited on a Seminar to be conducted by Dr. Firas Hindeleh from Grand Valley State University, USA.
Abstract: The Euclidean group E(n) is very interesting example of Lie groups. It consists of isometries of the Euclidean space of dimension n. We will explore how its elements interact and why E(n) is a subgroup of the general linear group GL(n+1). This talk is accessible to undergraduates with linear algebra background.
