Paris Chamber Orchestra (April 2012)
Recognized as one of the foremost interpreters of French music for chamber orchestra, the Paris Chamber Orchestra does not specialize. Instead, the orchestra brings its modern methods to the full spectrum of its art, as did the great chamber orchestras of the past. Of variable constitution, the orchestra either performs as a strings-only ensemble, or with winds. Officially created in 2003 under the management of Muse Productions, many of the Paris Chamber Orchestra's players have been performing together for twenty years, their career as a chamber orchestra spanning several continents. With a concert schedule of approximately fifty concerts per year, the Paris Chamber Orchestra performs regularly at the famous Madeleine in Paris, where both Camille Saint-Saens and Gabriel Faure who succeeded him worked as organists, choir masters and composers.
The Paris Chamber Orchestra tours extensively, having performed in many of the world's finest halls both in France and abroad (Salle Gaveau, Salle Pleyel and the Palau de la Musica), with such soloists as Maxence Larrieu, Maurice Andre and Claudi Arimany.
Hailed by critics for the 'supreme elegance' of their playing (Königsfeld Press, Germany, April 2007), another journalist described the Paris Chamber Orchestra as possessing a 'warmth, cohesiveness and homogeneity one rarely has the privilege to hear' (La Vanguardia, Spain, May 2008).

Works by Saint-Saens' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso or Havanaise, Ravel's Pavane for a Dead Princess, Debussy Petite Suite, a movement of Vivaldi's Four Seasons or Leclair concerto and Rameau Indes Galantes, and a new concerto for Violin and Chamber Orchestra by David Winkler composed expressly in celebration of this tour.
