The American Chemical Society (ACS) will host the fifth Festival Training Institute (FTI) workshop at American University of Sharjah. The event is the first ACS-FTI in the MENA region and follows the successful establishment of the ACS International Chemical Sciences Chapter in the United Arab Emirates.

At the event, the American representatives of ACS will meet with delegates from across Africa and the Middle East including South Africa, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iraq. The aim of the workshop is to develop plans for chemistry festivals in the respective home regions of the invited delegates.
