Algebraic Approximation in CR Geometry
On behalf of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the College of Arts and Sciences, you are cordially invited to a seminar to be conducted by Dr. Nordine Mir from Texas A&M University, Qatar.
In 1969, M. Artin proved that any convergent solution of a system of polynomial (or algebraic) equations can be approximated (in the Krull topology) by a sequence of algebraic solutions. In this talk, we shall discuss some Cauchy-Riemann versions of such a result for holomorphic mappings sending real-algebraic sets in complex euclidean space.
