The AUS Schoolof Business Administration presents the Corporate Governance in EmergingMarkets: Challenges and Opportunities Conference.
Topicsfor the conference include, but are not limited to, corporate governance in theMiddle East, corporate governance in family companies, succession planning infamily firms, and the effects of corporate governance reforms on the value offirms.
The conference will host Professor Jonathan Batten and Dr.Peter Szigalyi.
Professor Batten is a Professor of Finance in the Departmentof Banking and Finance at Monash University, Australia. He is the managing editor ofEmerging Markets Review, Journal of International Financial MarketsInstitutions and Money; co-editor of Finance Research Letters; and on theeditorial boards of a number of other journals including the Journal ofMultinational Financial Management and International Review of FinancialAnalysis. He is the current President of the Eurasian Business and EconomicsSociety (EBES).
Dr.Peter Szilagyi is an Associate Professor of Finance at Central EuropeanUniversity (CEU) Business School, and a Research Fellow in Finance at JudgeBusiness School, University of Cambridge. He has been an external fixed-incomeconsultant to the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. He is theco-editor of the Journal of Multinational Financial Management, and the CorporateFinance subject Editor of the International Review of Financial Analysisjournal.
