Fifth Annual AUS Business Forum and Career Fair (February 2013)
The annual Forum is organized by the Office of Development andAlumni Affairs. Prominent business leaders with state-of-the-art expertiseassess, from their daily experiences in running a major corporations, thestrengths and applicability of conceptual principles from higher education.These executives that perform for our students, alumni and faculty the role of"professors" or "mentors" from the 'University of Life' inassessing current situations being confronted by business and industry in theGulf. This becomes a laboratory showcasing how economics solves vexingproblems. Students and recent graduates meet with employers, executiveofficers, senior business figures and guests to address development and growthin the region. The Forum, therefore, bridges the concepts of academia with theapplications of business and demonstrates the advantages and advances fromtheir natural partnership.
The Career Fair is whereseniors and alumni meet with representatives from the private and publicsectors. Funds generated from the sponsors of the event are used for alumni graduate scholarships.
