Higher Education Climate Dialogues 2023
The Higher Education Climate Dialogues (HECD) is the first student-led conference in the UAE focused on creating a space for different stakeholders to exchange good sustainability practices and improve their campus operations, campus culture, research and teaching. HECD 2023 is the fourth edition of the conference and is organized by American University of Sharjah (AUS) and New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). This year, dialogues will focus on the #PathwaytoCOP28 and preparing students for meaningful engagement at COP28 meetings in the UAE.
The conference will include panel discussions, a competition in collaboration with dnata to repurpose items, a simulation gamifying the climate-based negotiation experience, a research exhibition where students can showcase their work in the form of infographic, and much more.
