HR Lecture Series: Closing the Carbon Loop – Research at Masdar Institute addresses growing greenhouse gases and energy concerns.
Research at Masdar Institute's Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering programs focuses on developing and define the future technology that will play a critical role in greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation and address global energy and sustainability challenges. In this talk you will hear how the individual research programs from the faculties in these programs is helping develop the new materials for novel carbon capture technologies. You will also hear about how they are investigating the kinetics of subsurface carbon storage protocols. In closing, you will hear how we are looking at biological based organisms and materials for use in energy production, storage, and transfer. You will see how all these programs integrate well into the Masdar Institute's mission of providing interdisciplinary, collaborative research and development capability in advanced energy and sustainability while educating students to be innovators with the breadth and depth to grow technology and enterprise in the region and globally.
The presentation will be followed by Q & A and introduction to the full scholarship for Master of science with Masdar Institute.
This lecture is organized as part of the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs' (ODAA) Careers Lecture Series.
