Moscow Chamber Duet (October 2016)
The Cultural Events Committee and the Russian Cultural Club present Moscow Chamber Duet.
Enjoy an evening of classical music with Oleg Bugaev (violoncellist) and Dzhafarova Elmira (pianist). The program will include works of Bach, Schubert, Beethoven, Schumann, Rachmaninov, Brahms, Sarasate and Piazzolla.
Dzhafarova Elmira (pianist)
In 2000 Dzhafarova Elmira graduated from the Ural State Conservatory named by Mussorgsky (Yekaterinburg) with highest honor in the piano class of Russian artist Professor Mrs. N.G.Pankovoy. She then continued two years of post-graduate studies in Russian Academy of Music named by Gnesiny, in the class of Russian artist Professor A.G. Sevidov. After finishing all levels of music studies. Elmira has continued to refine her skills, studying with such masters of piano art as V.K. Merzhanov, V.M. Tropp, A.G. Skavronsky and O.M. Yablonsky.
Oleg Bugaev (violoncellist)
Oleg Bugaev is a laureate of international music competitions, the winner of a special prize on XIII Tchaikovsky competition for the best performance of a contemporary author composition, leading soloist of the Philharmonic Concert Association "Moskontsert", docent of Maimonide's Associate State Classical Academy, Candidate of Art. He is a musician of brightest, extraordinary personality, endearing with his interpretations of rare depth and fully subjected to the perfection of the music technique. Undoubtedly, one of the most exciting violoncellists of his generation. This musician represents a new type of professional-multipurpose, whose creative interests go far beyond the academic repertoire. Baroque and Classical, Romantic and XX century, tango and country music, jazz, ethnic, ultramodern music - all of these areas extensively and successfully developed in his work.
Tickets may be purchased at the Cashier's Office (AUS Main Building) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, or at the door before the concert.
