This exhibition juxtaposes the work of award-winning Bangladeshi architect, Marina Tabassum; Dubai-based architecture practice, X Architects; and third-year architecture students from the American University of Sharjah. Tabassum is a 2016 winner of the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the show features her Baitur Rauf Jame Mosque project. The work of the AUS alumni-led X Architects and works in progress from some AUS students, when taken together, reveal important ideas of contextual adaptability.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, the Ismaili Centre, and the Young Architect + Design Program.
