The UAE is well positioned to be a hub for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Middle East with a robust infrastructure and laws that promote startups and innovation. This seminar will discuss key issues: Learn to be an innovative entrepreneur

BIORGRAPHYMr. Hassan is a 20-year veteran of the business world with expertise in corporate strategy, innovation management, performance excellence and business development and growth. As founder, President and CEO (Chief Excitement Officer) of Dubai-based Innovation 360 (http://i360institute.com), a global innovation management firm, Kamal works with organizations of all sizes and specialties to enhance value creation through innovative products, services and business models. As an active consultant, he leverages his real-world experience to advise Innovation 360's enterprise-level and government clients on business and innovation transformation, innovation strategy to execution, and sustaining innovation gains.

Kamal is also an active supporter of innovative startups in the Middle East, helping them become more competitive using business model innovation, and contributing time and financial support to local educational programs. He is co-founder and Managing Partner of Innovation Machine (http://innovamachine.com), which creates, sponsors and leads Startup Weekend events for entrepreneurs in the GCC.

Additionally, Kamal is the driving force behind the recently launched i360accelerator (http://i360accelerator.com), a 60-day startup accelerator and seed funding program for entrepreneurs and startup teams, scheduled to launch in November 2012. Kamal has a Masters in Genetic Engineering from San Francisco State University in the U.S., and has completed executive education courses at Harvard Business School, Leeds School of Business and The Wharton School. He is also a Certified Facilitator for LEGO SERIOUS PLAY®, a methodology that increases creativity and can be used to generate innovative business models.
