Webinar Series: Education for Sustainable Development (September 2021)
Overview
The American University of Sharjah (AUS) Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) in collaboration with the AUS Sustainability are delighted to organize a series of webinars on sustainability in education. Entitled Education for Sustainable Development, the event provides the opportunity for the AUS staff, faculty members and students to share and discuss innovations and research about progressing sustainability in teaching and learning. We invite colleagues to consider how education now needs to move forward with sustainability initiatives and education, in pandemic and post-pandemic higher education.
The theme for this series will address sustainability as "something for everyone," emphasizing an inclusive approach to education. Sustainability and its constituent parts represent urgent issues, and, in the higher education sector, we all have responsibilities in progressing sustainable development.
By way of a keynote session, panel discussions and a closing plenary, the event will offer insights about a range of pertinent sustainability issues, as well as examples and ideas for the entire AUS community. It will appeal to academic leaders, academic and professional staff, and students.
