AUS and Delhi Private School—Sharjah sign MoU as part of Sharakah program
American University of Sharjah (AUS) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Delhi Private School—Sharjah as part of the Sharakah program, a strategic initiative of the Office of Enrollment Management at AUS with selected schools from around the country. The agreement was signed at a special ceremony held today, March 19, on the AUS campus.
Ali Shuhaimy, Executive Director of Enrollment Management at AUS, and Vandana Marwaha, Principal and Director of DPS—Sharjah, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
The MoA highlights AUS’s role in the recruitment of outstanding students from varied socio-cultural and economic backgrounds. AUS will also provide partial scholarships to deserving students nominated by the school. AUS will offer patronage of selected research, cultural, social, and sporting events organized by the school, in addition to organizing workshops for the school’s faculty and staff. The university will also make SAT, TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses available to DPP—Sharjah students.
Commenting on the agreement, Shuhaimy said:
“We are pleased to be signing this MoA with Delhi Private School—Sharjah, as part of our Sharakah Program. This is a very significant program for us here at AUS as it serves as an important tool to help the university engage with educational institutions at the local as well as national level.”
Speaking on the occasion, Marwaha said:
“We are glad to be associated with AUS. We believe this MoA will provide our students with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the university environment as well as facilitate their admission to AUS.”
