The gathering took place at 12:00 p.m., today, Wednesday, September 9 at the AUS Student Center.
Present on the occasion was Dr. Björn Kjerfve, Chancellor of AUS; Dr. Moza Shehhi, Dean of Students; Mohammad Al Hashimi, President of AUS Student Council; Mohammed Al Kalbani, President of Emirati Cultural Club; AUS senior officials; and AUS students and faculty members.
Dr. Kjerfve expressed his sincere condolences and said, "The AUS community is really saddened to hear about the loss of the UAE soldiers and we send our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the martyrs."
Also speaking on the occasion, Dr. Al Shehhi said, "We pray for our soldiers who sacrificed their lives in performing their national duty. May their souls rest in peace. I extend my deepest condolences to our great leaders, our countrymen and the families of our brave martyrs."
