AUS holds session on sustainable transport as part of Sustainability Panel Series
Experts from various disciplines discussed sustainable transport in the UAE and the region in a special session held recently at American University of Sharjah (AUS). The discussion, held as part of the Sustainability Panel Series, featured a number of specialists from AUS as well as from industry. It was moderated by Dr. John Katsos, the university’s Head of Sustainability.
Participating speakers featured in the session included Dr. Akmal Abdelfatah, Associate Professor in Civil Engineering; Dr. Ghassan Abu-Lebdeh, Professor in Civil Engineering; Syed Karim, CEO of Caravan, Sheraa Entrepreneur; and Nadeem Shakir, Technical Director and Head of Transport Planning, Aurecon.
The aim of the AUS Sustainability Panel Series is to help develop innovative solutions and to increase awareness and education about sustainability problems that face the community, country, and the planet.
