AUS presents an evening of classical music
AUS held a delightful musical evening with performances by violinist Eugenia Choi and pianist Henry Wong Doe, on March 31, 2015. The two musicians entertained the audience with a great performance.
A native of New Zealand, Wong Doe received his doctoral degree in piano from Juilliard in New York. He also holds a master's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. Prior to his studies in the United States, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Auckland, as well as a performer's licentiate from Trinity College, London. Wong Doe has performed at some of the best venues in the world, among them Carnegie Hall, New York; Heinz Hall, Pittsburgh; and the Sydney Opera House.
Choi is Assistant Professor of Violin at the University of British Columbia. A Canadian of Korean heritage, Choi has, in recent seasons, performed as concerto soloist with orchestras in Europe, Asia, North and South America and has been broadcast globally on the BBC, CBC and National Geographic TV networks.
The event was organized by the Cultural Events Committee at AUS.
