Carnegie Mellon University, Qatar, delegation visits AUS
Delegates from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Qatar, visited AUS on yesterday November 23, to learn more about the university and to discuss topics of mutual cooperation between the two institutions.
AUS Chancellor, Dr. Björn Kjerfve; AUS Provost, Kevin Mitchell; and other senior AUS officials met with the 25 visiting delegates and took them on a tour of the AUS campus, which included a visit to the university library. The visitors also met with AUS officials from the departments of finance, HR and wellness as well as the Office of Enrollment Management, the Office of Research and Graduate Studies and the International Exchange Office.
The CMU delegates also met with officials from the College of Engineering (CEN) to discuss opportunities and to present CEN to potential partners in academia as well as industry-related institutions in the following fields: consultation services, training and professional development, applied research, lab utilization and training, internship and conferences.
