American University of Sharjah (AUS) hosted seven prominent international writers at its campus last week. The authors were in the emirate for the Sharjah International Book Fair held November 1-11, 2017.
The authors spoke about their work and careers and participated in question and answer sessions with students, faculty and other members of the AUS community.
The writers who visited the university included Ryan Lobo, a photographer and filmmaker from India; Zeina Hachem Beck, a poet from Lebanon; Edgar Samar, a poet and novelist from the Philippines; Leye Adenle, a crime fiction write from Nigeria; Vladimir Pistalo, a Serbian novelist; and American novelists Tayari Jones and Victoria Christopher Murray.
The talks were organized by the AUS College of Arts and Sciences in collaboration with the Sharjah International Book Fair.
