Jazz at Lunch for AUS community
The Performing Arts Program of the College of Arts and Sciences at AUS organized this semester's first Jazz at Lunch concert on October 19.
The performance by the Dwight Dickerson Quartet featured Nabil Amarshi, on acoustic bass; Mike Pigneguy, playing the drums; Jino Kim, on alto saxophone and Dwight Dickerson, on the piano. Chris Coull joined in on the trumpet.
Earlier this year, the Dwight Dickerson Quartet produced the first jazz CD ever produced in the UAE, entitled Glimpses.
Held in the rotunda of the old SBM building, the concert was open to the AUS community and provided a very relaxing atmosphere for faculty, staff and students alike and a welcome reprieve from the daily college routine.
