Maersk seeks talented students at AUS
Students and graduates of the College of Engineering attended an information session on opportunities with Maersk on December 9 at AUS.
This was the company's first visit to AUS. Maersk representatives gave a technical presentation and introduced the Maersk International Technology and Science Program (MITAS) program, a two-year international entry-level program designed to prepare newly graduated engineers for technical and specialist careers.
Every year talented graduates are selected to undertake the program globally across Maersk Oil and Maersk Drilling. Participants undertake three eight-month placements in three different technical positions in at least two different countries, providing broad work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
The event was a great opportunity for chemical and mechanical engineering senior students and graduates to meet technical managers, recruiters and former MITAS participants.
