Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaylani
Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaylani is a Consultant Neurologist and Epileptologist at Rashid Hospital. He joined the Department of Neurology at Rashid Hospital in December 2015 as a consultant physician. Currently, he leads the epilepsy service and is the Director of the Neurology residency training program in Rashid Hospital.
Before moving to Dubai in 2014, he was a former Assistant Professor in Vanderbilt University in the state of Tennessee until 2008 then at Michigan State University in the state of Michigan until 2014. He worked as a consultant epileptologist and neurologist at the Huenstein Neuroscience Center in Michigan, where he was treating medically refractory epilepsy patients in an epilepsy surgery program. He supervised and trained more than 30 fellows in the field of epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology during his appointment at Vanderbilt University, and participated in training the neurology residents as a faculty member in the school of medicine at Vanderbilt. He served as a medical board examiner in the American Board of Neurology certification exam.
Dr. Al-Kaylani has shared with other colleagues in publishing papers in the field of epilepsy and has lectured at multiple neurology conferences in the USA, Europe and UAE.
Dr. Al-Kaylani is American Board Certified in neurology, epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology and sleep medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, the American Board of Sleep Medicine, and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
