The CRF Steering Committee is always composed of between five and seven AUS faculty members, representing all schools and colleges across campus. All members were appointed by the Chief Research Officer after a thorough campus-wide application, nomination and endorsement process.
All appointees are full-time professors on campus with a history of research and management skills. Committee appointments are for two-year terms.

Director
The CRF Director leads various equipment managers, who are responsible for managing equipment in terms of acquisition, daily operations, maintenance and user training and promotion. The CRF Director cooperates with the CRF Steering Committee for the establishment and revision of equipment operational guidelines. These guidelines ensure the efficient usage of equipment and maximize high impact research output.
The CRF Director is appointed by the Chief Research Officer after an independent CRF Director Search Committee evaluated application and nominations campus-wide. The director is a full-time faculty member involved in research and scholarly work with good management skills. Director appointments are for three years.
