Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE)

The MSEE program prepares professionals in an environment that combines electrical engineering practice and technical research to contribute to the growing body of electrical engineering knowledge, research and development both regionally and internationally.

Program Educational Objectives


MSEE graduates are expected to be able to achieve the following objectives:

• Utilize and apply knowledge of advanced mathematics and engineering sciences to identify, formulate and solve advanced electrical engineering problems
• Develop the technical depth, the professional breadth, and the research and development skills needed for higher studies and/or for industry
• Maintain the desire for innovation, creativity, use and integration of multiple technologies, and lifelong learning
• Work and communicate effectively in a professional environment
• Recognize the professional and ethical responsibilities of the engineering profession

Program Educational Outcomes


Upon graduation, an AUS MSEE graduate should demonstrate the ability to achieve the following outcomes:

• Apply advanced mathematics and engineering science in identifying, formulating and solving advanced electrical engineering problems
• Use modern engineering tools
• Demonstrate proficiency in planning, designing and conducting experimental studies and/or research
• Write a research thesis and defend research results
• Attend to professional and ethical responsibilities and understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context
• Recognize the need for and engage in lifelong learning with knowledge of contemporary issues
