AUS in Brief

Founded in 1997, American University of Sharjah (AUS) is an independent, non-profit, coeducational institution of higher education formed on the American liberal arts model.

 

Acclaimed for its academic excellence and multicultural environment, AUS is ranked among the top 10 universities in the Arab world and the world’s top 50 universities under 50 years of age (QS World University Rankings, 2021). With approximately 90 nationalities represented on campus, AUS is among the world’s top five universities with the highest percentage of international students (Times Higher Education, 2023). AUS offers 32 majors and 46 minors at the undergraduate level, 17 master’s degrees and five PhD programs. The university’s 123-hectare, full-service campus includes experiential learning and research facilities, sports and recreational facilities, and student and faculty accommodation. Next Steps for Bachelor’s Degree Applicants

Now that you have been accepted, you can take the final steps towards beginning your degree at AUS.

  • First, please sign in to your account on apply.aus.edu and download your Admission Letter. If you have any issues downloading the letter, please contact us on infodesk.aus.edu.
  • After you read the Admission Letter, please respond to the admission offer under the section Decision History on your account by clicking on View next to your active application.
  • To finalize your admission, you must meet all the conditions and requirements listed in your Admission Letter during August for fall semester admission, during January for spring semester admission, and during May for summer term admission.
  • To access the New Students' Guide website, please click here.
