Events Listings: UAE Math Day 2012

This annual meeting is a place where mathematicians from the UAE and the region celebrate mathematics by presenting and sharing research results, exchanging ideas, participating in discussions and forging new collaborations.

The first UAE Math Day was held at the University of Sharjah in May 2003. Since then, this celebration has become a tradition and is held annually at one of the institutions in the UAE. The theme of this meeting is broad and encompasses all areas of mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. Special parallel sessions and workshops will be held in the following areas:

• algebra and its applications 
• analysis and its applications 
• applied mathematics 
• differential equations and dynamical systems 
• mathematics education 
• numerical analysis and its applications 
• statistics and its applications
