Rules and Regulations

Storage Rules

  • Student  need to check with their senior dormitory supervisor regarding the space available for storing their belongings during semester breaks.
  • Stored item must be properly boxed and clearly labeled with the student’s name and ID number.
  • The university does not insure stored items and assumes no liability for them.
  • If a student’s belongings remain unclaimed for one semester, the Residential Halls Department reserves the right to donate these items to charity.
  • If any resident student fails to register for the next semester, the Residential Halls Department has the right to vacate his/her room, put personal belongings in sealed and labeled boxes, and place the boxes in the storage area.


Other Rules

 

  • Smoking in common indoor areas is strictly prohibited. Bedrooms are considered common areas if the doors are open.
  • Proper disposal of cigarette butts is also a student’s responsibility. Discarding butt and/or emptying ashtrays in public areas, lawns, etc., will lead to disciplinary action.
  • Using drugs or alcohol is strictly PROHIBITED on campus. If a student is found using either, he/she will face severe disciplinary action.
  • Residents MUST obtain prior approval from the Manager of Residential Halls before posting information on bulletin boards.
  • Residents are Not Allowed to enter any Residential Hall without showing identification card to the resident supervisor.
  • Residents MUST respond to the dorm supervisor’s instructions.
  • Residents MUST NOT Prop open outside doors or exit ways without the permission of a resident supervisor.
  • Residents MUST NOT Enter or exit a residential hall through a window in a non-emergency situation.
  • Residents MUST NOT steal, use or move another student's belongings without their permission.
  • Residents MUST NOT show aggressive behavior towards other students or staff.
  • Resident MUST follow a directive from a resident supervisor or security official who is acting in the performance of his/her duties.
  • Residents MUST NOT Physically assault or cause harm to any person on university premises.
  • Residents MUST NOT tamper with telephone equipment, falsely using telephone credit cards or otherwise fraudulently use campus telephone.
  • Residents MUST NOT place collect calls to university or residential hall telephone numbers.
  • Video shooting or filming documentaries is strictly PROHBITIED in the residential halls for reasons of the students privacy.
  • Residents are Not Allowed to conduct a business operation from within a residential hall.
  • Harassment and discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, religion or any other reason is strictly PROHBITIED and will not be tolerated.
