About the Program
An interactive masterclass designed to help family members discover and reflect on their ownership styles. Through self-assessment and discussion, participants explore how members of the same family can have different attitudes, expectations and behaviors toward their ownership responsibilities. Recognizing these differences is the first step toward aligning expectations, managing differences and building a shared commitment to the family business and its future.
About the Faculty
Dr. Rodrigo Basco is a fourth-generation member of an Argentine business family and Professor at American University of Sharjah (AUS), where he holds the Sheikh Saoud bin Khalid bin Khalid Al-Qassimi Chair in Family Business. He serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Family Business Strategy and the European Family Business Journal. His research focuses on family business, entrepreneurship, management and regional development. He has taught at universities in Spain, Chile, Germany and the UAE. Recognized among the world's top 2 percent most-cited scientists in Stanford University's rankings, he has published extensively in international journals, authored the textbook Family Business Management and co-founded the Family Business Academy (FBA), an educational platform dedicated to family business learning.
